Level Three Jewellery Making

£250.00

Give me the info…

This is an eight-week evening block which is designed to give you a deeper look and awareness into the world of jewellery making. Level Three sessions are consecutive weekly classes each lasting three hours. Another step up from the Level Two Jewellery Making course, it's designed to help advance your knowledge and broaden your skillset. In the first four weeks, you will learn even more complex processes, then after that, you will then be given personal tuition on designing and creating your own pieces in the second half of the block. How decadent!

Can I do this class?

If you have a wee bit of experience in jewellery making and have attended our Level One and Level Two course or have learned elsewhere, this is for you. If you are unsure just get in touch!

What happens?

Wax Carving Taster Session
Sand Casting
Spoon Making
Bezel Setting a Cabochon Stone

What do I need to bring?

We will email you our Level Three Manual ahead of the class, please bring this digitally or printed out. Also a sketchbook or something for taking notes etc.

You don’t need to bring anything with you as we will provide all the equipment needed plus the materials for the first four weeks. Everyone will have their own bench with access to all the tools required to make jewellery. For your own projects, we always discuss your plans thoroughly and where to find everything you will need to complete them.

Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.

If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!

Who is teaching me?

Milly Munday is an established jeweller with a distinctive style strongly influenced by the beautiful local coastline. She moved to Scotland in 2016 to pursue her passion for designing and making jewellery, graduating in Jewellery and Metal Design from Dundee University.

Her designs are often inspired by Scottish beaches, where she uses a variety of techniques to create wearable, textured jewellery that captures shells and barnacles. Milly has been a part of the Tutor Team at Vanilla Ink The Smiddy for a couple of years now and continues to bring fresh ideas and commitment to sharing her passion for making with others.
