Visiting the Smiddy
The Smiddy is a working craft space. Different activity takes place throughout the week, including learning, independent making, residencies, community programmes, and gallery exhibitions.
Some areas are open to the public at set times, while others are accessed through booking or arrangement. Information on each is outlined below.
Gallery visits
The Smiddy Gallery is open to the public during advertised opening hours.
You are welcome to visit the gallery to view exhibitions, browse work, or spend time with the space. No prior booking is required during gallery opening times.
Attending courses, experiences, and community activity
If you are attending a Course, Experience, Community programme, or other booked activity, your booking confirmation will include details about arrival times and what to expect.
If you are unsure about access, timing, or preparation, please get in touch before your session.
